The death toll from mudslides and floods in Rio de Janeiro, Bazil unexpectedly rose to 205 on Friday, April 9. The number was also expected to rise due to morning and afternoon downpours that threatened to cause more mudslides. Rescue crews were sent to search for victims at slum built on top of a garbage dump that was buried by a landslide. 27 people have been rescued so far but authorities believe the death toll from this slide could be uop to 200 its self. The number of victims burried in the mud is undetermined, but it is said that 161 people have been injured.
